The Out-Reach Food Pantry is located in the basement of the Blue Rapids
United Methodist Church. This mission serves the families and individuals
of the Valley Heights Community. Food is distributed once a month, and the
number of those served averages 17 children and 45 to 50 adults. The Food
Pantry has definitely helped to stretch about 35 families' food budgets at
the end
of each month. 
The Community Food Panty was envisioned in 1993. Since then the entire community has
been enabled and provides canned goods and donations to help keep it in
operation. The Community Food Pantry is operated by a task force from the Blue
Rapids Presbyterian Church and the Blue Rapids United Methodist Church.
These persons are called to carry out God's call to feed the hungry and
help the disadvantaged.
Many of the community Churches
and individuals donate to the Community Food Pantry and we thank them for
their support.
